This does not have to happen to the people of California.
If only our elected representatives in California would roll-up their sleeves and work at ensuring college is accessible and affordable instead they are prisoners of special interests that hijack the future and kill the dreams of our next generation. Pension reform and yes the tax extensions would do much to extend the educational opportunities offered by the world renown California community colleges. Governor Brown would much rather waste time with his promise for an election that will cost the state millions of dollars instead of working with the democratic
legislature to push through a budget that can at least temporarily buy some time until we have REAL political reform. The democratic party in California fails genuine working people who DO NOT belong to a public sector union. It is time for people to take social action and force the politicians to make the tough choices to balance our state budget in a fair and equitable approach that prepares Californians for the future.
